Océ extends inkjet leadership while helping Accord Post capture front-runner position in emerging personalised communications market

Venlo, The Netherlands, 16 August 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, and Postyle, official Océ distributor in Russia and Ukraine, announce today that Accord Post, a direct marketing agency, has installed an Océ JetStream® 1000 inkjet printing system.

The beginning of a new era

Accord Post CJSC, a major Russian service company, is launching an innovative project that marks the beginning of a new era in the region’s direct marketing sector and printing industry. The strategy involves a sophisticated variable data application and full-colour digital production printing using the Océ JetStream 1000 inkjet system.

“Our client wants to be at the forefront of their market with personalised applications, individualised images and high-quality, individual full-colour copies,” said Vladimir Grigorievich Neplokh, Director of Postyle. “Осé technologies provide a foundation for building a competitive offering in today’s dynamic market and also helps Accord Post develop a long-term vision for its business. Océ printing systems are reliable, flexible and continuously improving. The innovative, versatile Océ JetStream inkjet printing technology prepares us for constantly changing customer requirements.”

According to Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President of Océ Production Printing, “The placement of the first Océ JetStream system in Russia underscores our goal of leadership in high volume digital production colour. This dynamic market displays a great deal of innovative power and potential, and this new system will give Accord Post a strong advantage.”

The Océ JetStream 1000 system prints full-colour personalised data in one step without requiring the corresponding production and expense of preprinted offset shells. The printer’s unprecedented performance delivers extremely high efficiency. The Océ JetStream 1000 engine produces high-quality full-colour 600 х 600 dpi A4 images at 75 metres per minute, the equivalent of up to 1,010 A4 images per minute. Powered by Océ DigiDot drop-on-demand colour inkjet technology, Océ JetStream systems combine speed and quality with flexibility and reliability.
